A short boat ride to an island light. The granite lighthouse, completed in 1902, is arguably the highest in the world, if you don't count dual-use structures. (The statue of Liberty in New York harbor, for example, has a light and is taller, but wasn't intended primarily as a navigational beacon. Ditto for the tower in Jeddah harbor.)
