Mt. Lafayette - Feb 25, 2006


The forecast called for a snowstorm in the afternoon. I was hoping to get to the summit early enough that I could complete the loop over to Mt Lincoln while there was still some visibility. By the time I got to the top of Lafayette, though, blizzard conditions forced me to turn back.

you should see an image here 11:20 AM. The sky is cloudy but conditions are good as I stop to photograph something I've barely seen this winter: snow on the ground.
