I liked the mirrory water surface in this shot.

A pair of mallards near shore.

One of a few hooded mergansers that kept a bit more distance. There was also a pair of buffleheads that stayed completely out of range.

More ducks. I was shooting hand-held and couldn't keep them both in focus due to the need for high shutter speed and large aperture, but I liked the water rolling off the drake's head.

With the focus shifted to the foreground, the limited depth of focus is not as noticeable.

Ducks in mid-dabble.
Double dabble.

Canada geese are anything but shy. Snapped this one as it was strolling toward the water.
A goose taking a sip.
A white-throated sparrow. Not a great shot - small bird, too far away for my lens.

A belted kingfisher perched above the pond.
