Crashing water II

It was low tide, so the waves weren't as high as I was hoping.
Smaranda posing in front of the waves.

A gull riding the wind.
Me enjoying the breeze.

Windswept bay.
A couple folks getting very close to the waves.
Back on shore in a less-windy spot, this sparrow was busy foraging.
I stopped to get a few close-ups.
This is a House Sparrow, Passer domesticus.
It's a European import, unlike most American "sparrows" which are unrelated.
I found a dry boulder I could climb.
Photos in this sequence by Smaranda, of course.

Climbing IV
You can't see it, but I finally found a good spot for my right foot...
..which lets me get my left foot up above the overhang.
From here, it's easy.
Ready to "top out."
